Privacy

The short version: we keep what you need to use Hearth, we don't sell it, and your private campaigns stay private. The longer version, in plain language:

What we keep

Your account (email, display name, and a hashed password); whatever you write into your campaigns (posts, comments, and any images you upload); your Lorekeeper questions and its answers; and any Discord channel you connect. That's it.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data, we don't run ads, and we don't share your campaign with anyone you didn't invite. A private campaign is visible only to its members.

Cookies

One, to keep you signed in. No advertising or tracking cookies.

The Lorekeeper

If a game master turns on the AI Lorekeeper, the campaign's notes are sent to an AI provider to write the reply. That is the one time your writing leaves our servers, and it only happens for the questions people actually ask.

The Lorekeeper is off until someone switches it on, and a game master can turn it back off in campaign settings at any time. If you'd rather your notes never went to an AI provider, ask your game master to leave it off.

Deleting your data

You can delete a post, a whole campaign, or your entire account from inside the app. A post is gone at once; a campaign or account goes after a short, cancelable window. Either way deletion is real, not just hidden.
